In fact, in an interview with The Week, when Kareena was asked about being one of the highest paid actresses in the industry, she said that money is never a priority when selecting a film. She said that the role always matters and how it impacts her career comes first.
During the interview, Kareena was told that she is one of the few actresses who are earning around Rs 10 to 15 crores. To this, the actress said, “I hope so! I want that! I think it is not about my acting… the films I choose are not about money. It has always been about the fact that if I like a role, I can do that film for less money. It depends on my mood. It depends on how the film is, what role is being offered to me.
Kareena considers herself a “struggler”
Kareena further said that she feels she is at that stage of her career where she can do a lot. But she also added that if it is a high budget commercial film then whatever you say is less! Apart from this, the actress jokingly mentioned that she considers herself a “struggler” as she is living in her husband Saif Ali Khan’s house.
Kareena Kapoor praised Ajay Devgan
Kareena will soon be seen in the third installment of the Singham franchise, Singham Again, which also stars Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. The actress has been a part of the franchise since the second installment. Talking about working with Ajay Devgn, she said, “I have been very fortunate that I have worked with Ajay so many times and have known him for so many years, even before I was an actress. He is a very good actor, a very nice person. He is one actor about whom I would say that we are really friends. We really have fun when we work on a film together. Let us tell you that ‘Singham Again’ is going to release on November 1.
Kareena Kapoor will be seen in The Buckingham Murders
Kareena was last seen in the critically and commercially hit film Crew, starring Tabu, Kriti Sanon, Diljit Dosanjh and Kapil Sharma. Rajesh A Krishnan directed the film, which will release in theatres on March 29. She will also be seen in Hansal Mehta’s The Buckingham Murders, which will release on September 13.
